Dates vary · visit organizer

Available · file by July 1

Iowa’s credit covers the entire property tax levy on an eligible homestead for qualifying Veterans, certain surviving spouses, and children. Veterans generally need a permanent 100% service-connected disability rating, including qualifying individual unemployability paid at the 100% rate; eligible DIC recipients also qualify. Applications are due July 1 and require homestead and disability documentation. For applications filed on or after July 1, 2026, the credit is limited to the home and up to one-half acre, excluding appurtenances.
