Available beginning October 7, 2026; pilot end date not published Veterans who want to create a new VA.gov account at a participating medical center. Participants must bring a valid, unexpired government-issued photo ID and have a phone number and personal email address. VA states that assisted account setup and optional CLEAR sign-in access are free. Existing VA.gov sign-in options remain available. included: VA staff assistance creating a VA.gov account; Identity verification through an on-site CLEAR pod; Optional facial-recognition sign-in setup; Faster access to VA and Community Care appointment scheduling; Secure health-care messaging and prescription refills; Online disability-compensation applications and benefit-status checks; Online submission of routine beneficiary travel reimbursement claims VA has not published a pilot end date, appointment requirement, pod operating hours or exact pod location inside each medical-center campus.; Veterans should contact the participating medical center before making a special trip.; Travel, lodging and meals are not provided or listed as covered.
