Tennessee Property Tax Relief for Eligible Disabled Veterans

Statewide, Tennessee · Property tax financial assistance

Nov 2, 2026 – Nov 2, 2027

Ongoing; apply through local collecting official and confirm current eligibility

Tennessee’s state-funded Property Tax Relief Program reimburses part or all of qualifying property taxes paid on an eligible disabled Veteran’s primary residence. Eligibility includes specified service-connected disabilities, permanent and total service-connected disability, or a 100% total and permanent POW disability rating. The program is a tax relief payment, not an exemption; the homeowner remains responsible for paying the tax bill and must apply through the local county trustee or city collecting official. The current state page lists a $175,000 maximum market value used to calculate relief
