Ongoing statutory agency resources; access is coordinated through each agency
Utah law requires first responder agencies to provide or make mental health resources available to responders and covered family members, surviving spouses, retirees, and certain separated personnel. Required resources include periodic screenings, access to outpatient therapy, qualified peer support, and assessment or services within 48 hours after a critical incident. Contact your agency’s designated mental health resources liaison; Utah DPS also describes critical incident service requests for small agencies
